If you are a production client or are looking for a location for hire, please go to What is location hire? TV and movie makers, advertising and production companies always need locations for filming in as they are already set up and therefore need no time to set up, they are usually cheaper than building sets, and appear more genuine. Is my property suitable? All kinds of locations are required, from apartments to warehouses to mansions, so all properties can be considered. Bear in mind that everything looks smaller on screen so space is important. Ease of street access and parking are also important, however, if the location is unique these aspects are surmountable. North London and Herts have now become very popular due to the access and authorization constraints of filming in Central London. Give us a call to discuss the suitability of your property on 020 8886 4642. Why

Initial evaluation of the suitability of your property What’s the next stage? If you think that your property may be suitable or are just curious and would like to know more, do give us a ring. If we feel that it is appropriate, we will visit your property and take some photographs. Your property will then be marketed on our web-site to production companies. Security: Your address will never be divulged on our web-site or verbally to any interested party until the time that an appointment to view it is made. This will always be done in liaison with yourself, the property owner. If your property is chosen for filming and terms agreed, the security aspects of the shoot will be discussed accordingly. We do, however, suggest that someone is available to be in the property during filming. What kind of disruption should I expect? This varies according to the kind of shoot. The most minimal disruption is usually a photographic shoot which may only involve a couple of people and minimal equipment. At the other end of the scale, feature films are likely involve large crews, lorries and equipment. Bear in mind, though, that as a general rule, the greater the disruption – the greater the fee for usage. Should your property be requested and terms agreed, Havilands will check the hiring company’s liability insurance and administer all necessary documentation. Once my property is marketed am I committed to accepting all offers? No.
We will contact you as soon as there is a serious interest in your property.
At that stage we will have a rough idea of dates, size of crew, and fees.
